JAKARTA - PT Blue Bird Tbk or (BIRD) is developing a Lifecare Taxi facility, a taxi service specifically designed for individuals with special needs, disabilities and the elderly, which has been launched since 2014.

President Director of PT Blue Bird Tbk Adrianto Djokosoetono said the development of Lifecare Taxi includes the use of a new fleet, namely the Multi-purpose Vehicle (MVP) with a relieved cabinet.
In addition, passenger seats are specially designed to be able to go up and down automatically and drivers who are equipped with skills using Lifecare Taxi fleet features.
With these new facilities, BIRD helps customers with physical challenges to carry out mobility comfortably.
"By developing Lifecare Taxi, Bluebird is committed to bridging the accessibility gap in transportation and ensuring that everyone has the same opportunity," Adrianto said in a media gathering at Bluebird Tower, South Jakarta, Thursday, April 25.
Currently, the Lifecare Taxi fleet itself is only available as many as 5 units, with details of 3 units in Jakarta and 2 units in Bali. In the future, the number of Lifecare Taxi fleets will be increased.
Customers who want to take advantage of this service can make bookings through the Bluebird call center.
Adrianto added that the argo for this taxi service is still the same as before. "It's still the same (the budget), but we actually collaborate with agencies (such as hospitals) that need it to be more affordable," he said.
In the future, hospitals or other agencies collaborating with Bluebird will provide customer recommendations if they really need this Lifecare Taxi service.
Life Care Taxi Service Will Be In Bali
Bluebird's Lifecare Taxi service will also soon pave the streets of Denpasar and Badung, Bali. The taxi service will be launched tomorrow.
"In Bali it will be launched tomorrow," said Adrianto.
Andre said that until now only 5 units of the Lifecare Taxi service have been available.
"Currently, we have five units for stage 1. We divide them into two in Jakarta and three in Bali," he said.
