Bayung-Lencir-Tempino Toll Road Section 3 Targeted To Be Completed In July 2024

JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono inspected the construction of the Bayung-Lencir-Tempino Section 3 Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) Project, directed by PT Hutama Karya (Persero).

This agenda is a series of Basuki's working visits to the South Sumatra region on Thursday, April 18.

During his visit, Basuki appreciated the performance of Hutama Karya and other contractors in the 33-kilometer (km) project being worked on. This project is targeted to be completed in July 2024 so that it can be partially inaugurated.

"This project is neat and has good quality, the ongoing work can be maintained and monitored properly until it is finished," said Basuki in a written statement, Tuesday, April 23.

Meanwhile, EVP Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Adjib Al Hakim said this visit was carried out to ensure development progress according to plan and evaluate ongoing projects by conducting joint dialogue with teams in the field and providing strategic directions to support smoothness of the quality of work properly.

This is also the government's support to complete the project on time and quality.

"The project progress, which has reached 72.71 percent, is an effort to improve connectivity and mobility in the Jambi region and its surroundings and is expected to accelerate regional economic growth in order to improve people's welfare," he said.

Adjib said that this project was built with a scheme for the support of construction from the government, from which the source of funding came from the state budget.

"The first toll road in Jambi will open new connectivity for the provincial box, namely South Sumatra with Jambi so that it can complete the backbone of the JTTS that has been formed," he said.

In the project, which was worked on with the operating cooperation scheme (KSO) with PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (Wijaya Karya) and PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) (Brantas Abipraya) (KSOHK-Wika-BAP) for 15.47 km.

Then, careful planning is carried out on costs, quality, scope, time, risk, resources, communication, procurement and stakeholders and applies professional management rules to ensure the achievement of all scopes of work.

He added, to answer the target conveyed by Minister Basuki, a number of strategies to accelerate completion have been carried out by KSO, including dividing the location of the work in 3 zoning to facilitate implementation, monitoring and evaluation by using digital construction and prioritizing safety, quality in the progress that goes hand in hand.

"Hutama Karya is committed to continuing to support the government's infrastructure development program and completing ongoing projects according to the target by maintaining the quality and sustainability of the environment around the project," he added.
