OIKN Explores New Potential Investors In Hannover Messe

The Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) targets the exploration of new potential investors in the Hannover Messe event which will be held in Hannover City, Germany.

IKN Authority Secretary Achmad Jaka Santos Adiwijaya said that not only showing off the progress of development and investment in IKN at this time, the IKN Authority is also targeting the assessment of new potential investors. This is a further step towards the participation of the IKN Authority in Hannover Messe the previous year.

"This is the second time IKN has participated in Hannover Messe. In addition to following up on meetings with several potential investors at Hannover Messe last year, this time we will also explore the potential for cooperation with a number of investors related to technology that is appropriate in the field of transportation and the environment," said Jaka Santo in his statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, April 23.

The Nusantara Capital Authority (IKN) has again participated in one of the largest and most important trade and industrial exhibitions in the world, Hannover Messe, which will be held in Hannover City, Germany on April 22-25, 2024.

Hannover Messe 2024 carries the theme "Energyizing A Sustainable Industry" by involving various companies in the field of mechanical engineering, electric and digital industries, to the energy industry. Unmitigated, Hannover Messe this year was attended by more than 4,000 exhibition participants from 60 countries.

Carrying the theme "Energizing A Sustainable Industry", Hannover Messe 2024 is the right event for the IKN Authority to interact with investors who prioritize sustainable development.

"As we all know, IKN has a concept as a Smart Sustainable Forest City where we will build a city by implementing environmentally friendly technology, therefore Hannover Messe, which this year raised the theme of the energy transition, is the right moment for us to maximize opportunities for cooperation with investors who can support the IKN concept," said Jaka Santos.

For information, on the first day of the Indonesian Pavilion exhibition, the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, opened it.

In his speech, the Minister of Industry emphasized, "Indonesia has a strong commitment to preserving the environment and realizing a significant milestone. By 2025, 23 percent of energy will come from new renewable energy sources."

Previously, the Hannover Messe 2024 opening ceremony was held at the Hannover Congress Centrum, on Sunday 21 April. On that occasion, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz emphasized the importance of an energy transition.

"The fossil fuel era is coming to an end. This means that the industrial process must also undergo changes," said Olaf.
