Bank Muamalat Appointed As Salary Distributor Of Jakarta Hajj Hospital

JAKARTA - PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk was appointed as a salary distribution bank (BPG) for the Hajj Jakarta Hospital, which is a business unit under Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN).

Bank Muamalat SEVP Retail Banking Dedy Suryadi Dharmawan said that the cooperation was a follow-up to the signing of a memorandum of understanding with UIN Syarif Hidayatullah some time ago.

"This collaboration makes Bank Muamalat and the Jakarta Hajj Hospital a strategic partner where the scope of this collaboration is not only as BPG," said Dedy in a written statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Friday, April 19.

Dedy said that Bank Muamalat also opens opportunities for employees of the Jakarta Hajj Hospital to obtain banking facilities and services at the bank.

In addition, Bank Muamalat is open to providing input regarding business governance so that the Jakarta Hajj Hospital can continue to grow in the future.

According to the company, employees of the Jakarta Hajj Hospital who have a salary account at Bank Muamalat have the opportunity to get benefits in the form of financing facilities, including housing and multipurpose financing.

As a sharia bank owned by the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH), Bank Muamalat and the Jakarta Hajj Hospital will also synergize to maximize the potential in the Hajj and Umrah ecosystem in Indonesia.

The memorandum of understanding signed by Bank Muamalat and UIN Syarif Hidayatullah at the end of last year includes the scope of education, research, community service, and utilization of Islamic banking products.

The two parties followed up on the cooperation agreement by organizing social activities, including maintaining mosques, providing Muamalat Scholarships, appreciating graduates with the best thesis, as well as leadership training.

The company noted that UIN Syarif Hidayatullah has long been a customer of Bank Muamalat. The university has also used the Madina cash management system (CMS) which provides banking transaction services on time.

The service is used by UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, including for remuneration of employees, tax payments, as well as payment of BPJS Employment bills and BPJS Health.
