World Oil Prices Strengthen The Impact Of Geopolitical Conflicts, Pertamina Opens Voice

JAKARTA - World crude oil prices rose after Israel's attack on Iran. Iran's counterattack against Israel.

This tension prompted the price of Brent crude futures to be traded above 90 US dollars after closing 1.1 percent higher on Wednesday 10 April, while the price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) is close to 86 US dollars.

President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Riva Siahaan said geopolitical tensions and supply reduction OPEC+ have raised world oil prices this year by almost 18 percent.

He added, amid the increase in world crude oil prices, Pertamina Patra Niaga will continue to maintain national fuel supply and price stability.

"The trend of crude oil prices is rising, but we still ensure that the national fuel supply is safe. We are also committed to keeping domestic fuel prices stable so as not to have an impact on public inflation and purchasing power," Riva said in a statement to the media, Monday, April 15.

Riva added that Pertamina took a policy of maintaining prices even though fuel production costs increased along with the increase in world oil prices.

"As state companies, we support the Government's efforts to maintain a more stable and conducive national economy," added Riva.

In the midst of these conditions, Pertamina Patra Niaga continued, it also ensures that the national fuel stock is safe during the RAFI Task Force. The supply is much higher to anticipate a surge in demand during the homecoming and return flow of Lebaran. Currently, Pertalite's stock is recorded at the level of 20 days, Pertamax 41 days, Turbo 58 days, Solar and Biosolar 22 days, Dex 70 days and Avtur 41 days.

"The addition of stock during the RaFI Task Force has been prepared since the Christmas and New Year's Task Force to ensure that national needs are met properly," added Riva.

Pertamina Patra Niaga's Corporate Secretary, Irto Ginting added, after meeting the needs of fuel and LPG on the homecoming flow, Pertamina Patra Niaga is still on standby to prepare the needs of the community after the Eid al-Fitr holiday and the current return.

"The RAFI Task Force continues to be on standby and the needs of fuel travelers are the concern of Pertamina Patra Niaga to ensure that people can travel safely and smoothly," concluded Irto.
