Ramadan Shares, Pelita Air Gives Compensation To 391 Orphans In 12 Cities

The breaking of fast together and providing compensation for orphanage children was carried out in 15 locations in 12 cities, namely Jakarta, Padang, Banjarmasin, Palembang, Pekanbaru, Balikpapan, Sorong, Pontianak, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Denpasar, and Aceh in the period 18 March-5 April 2024 involving 391 orphans in 15 orphanages or foundations.

Vice President Corporate Secretary of PT Pelita Air Service Agdya Pratami Putri Yogandari in her statement said, during Ramadan this year, Pelita Air initiated a social program entitled Energy of Togetherness of Pelita Air. This program contains sharing activities with groups of underprivileged communities, especially orphans.

"This program is also a form of the Company's concern and social responsibility for the surrounding environment. We hope that this effort can be beneficial for the orphans," he said in a statement to the media, Tuesday, April 9.

In addition to breaking the fast together and providing compensation, Pelita Air previously also carried out Ramadan Safari activities to Bali for 20 orphans in Jakarta. Orphans are invited to visit various tourist destinations in Bali, such as Tanjung Benoa, Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, Jimbaran Beach, to Bali Zoo on 30-31 March 2024. On the sidelines of this tour, there will be iftar activities together, congregational prayers, and tausiyah.

Pelita Air's various social activities in Ramadan which are packaged in the Pelita Air Togetherness Energy Program, continued Agdya Pratami Putri Yogandari, is part of Pertamina's social movement program called "Mobile Community".
