JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that sales of long-distance train tickets for the Eid al-Fitr 2024 period had sold more than 2.4 million or 76 percent of the total seats provided.
The period for transporting the Lebaran 2024 train was set by KAI, starting from D-10 or March 31 to D+10 or April 21, 2024.
KAI Vice President Public Relations Joni Martinus said that KAI provided 3,283,204 seats for the Eid 2024 period.
"Long-distance train tickets sold 2,493,673 from seats provided 3,283,204. The occupancy is 76 percent," Joni said in an official statement, Thursday, April 4.
Based on KAI data monitoring as of today, said Joni, ticket sales were the highest on April 6, 2024, H-4, 153,384 tickets. Then, April 5, 2024 or D-5, namely 149,539 tickets.
Furthermore, Joni said the number of train tickets sold was still possible to increase considering that ticket sales were still being made.
"The number of tickets sold will continue to increase because sales are still ongoing," he said.
