Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) Budi Gunawan estimates that as many as 33.69 million residents will use private cars to return to their hometowns during Eid 2025.

This was said by Budi Gunawan based on the survey data held by the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs.

"The majority of travelers will use 23% private cars, namely 33.69 million people, 16.9 percent bus 24.76 million people, 16.1 percent train 23.58 million people, 13.5 percent aircraft 19.77 million people and 8.7 percent motorcycles, namely 12.74 million people," said the man who is familiarly called BG in his short message quoted by ANTARA, Friday, March 21.

BG estimates that the private car user will pass through several main routes of homecoming across Java and Sumatra.

Therefore, he ensures that all infrastructure, such as the quality of toll roads and rest areas, is in good quality in order to maintain the comfort and safety of travelers.

Not only that, but BG has also ordered the National Police to build security and safety posts along the homecoming route.

"The National Police has prepared 1,738 security posts, 788 service posts, and 309 integrated posts will be alerted along the homecoming route," said the former head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN).

These posts will later be placed at several crucial points such as the main homecoming route, airports, terminals, train stations to ports.

The post will be guarded by TNI personnel for 24 hours to ensure the creation of safe conditions at several points of homecoming crowds.

BG ensures they are not only on guard during the homecoming flow but also when the backflow of the travelers takes place.

With the series of guard at each of these posts, BG hopes that people can travel to their hometowns safely and comfortably.
