Head Of Badanas Want To Discuss Grain Prices With The Minister Of Agriculture And The Minister Of Trade, Will It Go Down?

JAKARTA - Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas) Arief Prasetyo Adi said he would prepare a meeting to discuss the purchase price of the Government (HPP) of unhulled rice. This inauguration will also be attended by the Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman.

"Mr. Minister of Agriculture called earlier, we are preparing to calculate the HPP (gabah) together," he said during a standby meeting to secure food supplies and prices ahead of Eid Al-Fitr 2024, quoted from YouTube Badanas, Monday, April 1.

Arief targets the discussion of this unhulled HPP to be completed within one week. He said the Minister of Trade who handles it at the downstream level will also be involved, including unions to farmer associations.

"If we can finish it this week, of course it involves associations, food stakeholders, farmers' unions, farmers' friends and the Minister of Trade (Zulkifli Hasan)," he said.

On this occasion, Arief also said that in the future Indonesian food must be more advanced.

"In the future, our food must progress, it must be victorious. Of course, starting with our brothers and sisters, the Minister of Agriculture," he explained.

In addition, Arief also ensures that food supplies ahead of Eid Al-Fitr 2024 are in a safe condition. He said that people can get cheap food through the cheap food movement that is held in each region.

"The alert for supply security and food prices ahead of Eid Al-Fitr 2024 will certainly not be successful if it does not support food stakeholders," he explained.
