JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) through the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) has ensured that the Jabodebek LRT tariff or discount promo will be extended until May 2024.
Director General of Railways Mohamad Risal Wasal revealed that the reason for the Jabodebek LRT tariff promo was extended. He said this step was taken so that people who vacationed in Jakarta during the 2024 Eid al-Fitr momentum did not feel surprised by the rates imposed.
"Until May, the dynamic rate remains valid, we will still use the current tariff. There has been no change. So it will not surprise the people who are on vacation in Jakarta, the price remains the same," said Risal, at the Ministry of Transportation Office, Thursday, March 28.

Therefore, Risal hopes that in May, there will be certainty regarding the demand or interest in the Jabodebek LRT.

As is known, the discount promo for the Jabodebek Integrated Cross Raya (LRT) tariff will end at the end of March. However, the plan is for this tariff discount to be extended until April 2024.
The Manager of Public Relations of the Jabodebek LRT Mahendro Trang Bawono said that there is a potential for a discount promo for tariffs to be extended. However, he said the decision would be submitted to the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub).
"I think it will continue. But later confirmation will be with the Ministry of Transportation. It's the same as February and March," he told reporters in Jakarta, Tuesday, March 26.
Mahendro said that his party would communicate with the Ministry of Transportation regarding the extension of the tariff discount. He said the management would wait for the Ministry of Transportation's decision.
