Ministry Of PUPR Auction For The Becakayu Toll Project Section 2B Worth IDR 5.83 Trillion

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) is auctioning off the Bekasi-Cawang-Kampung Melayu Toll Road project or the Becakayu Toll Road Section 2B.

Citing the Electronic Procurement Service (LPSE) page of the Ministry of PUPR, the Becakayu Toll project auction Section 2B is divided into 2 packages with a total value of IDR 5.83 trillion.

In detail, the auction for the construction of the Becakayu toll road project Section 2B package 1 is worth IDR 3.59 trillion, while Section 2B package 2 is worth IDR 2.24 trillion.

"In accordance with Presidential Regulation Number 109 of 2020 concerning the Third Amendment to Presidential Regulation Number 3 of 2016 concerning the Acceleration of the Implementation of National Strategic Projects, the construction of the Bekasi-Cawang-Kampung Melayu Toll Road is included in the National Strategic Project, a sufficient allocation of funds is needed in the construction of the toll road," wrote the Ministry of PUPR in a brief description, quoted Monday, March 25.

It is known that the construction of the Bekasi-Cawang-Kampung Melayu Toll Road along a Total of 23.68 kilometers (km) was built through government construction support with APBN funds of 6.9 km and a portion of the 16.78 km Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT).

The development aims to strengthen logistics capabilities in the metropolitan areas of Jakarta and West Java Province through the construction and operation of the Bekasi-Cawang-Kampung Melayu Toll Road.

So that it is expected to be able to contribute to economic growth through improving the investment environment.

The construction of the Becakayu Toll Road Section 2B covering West-Tambun Bekasi is also expected to improve the economy of the people around the toll road area to encourage the mobilization of logistics transportation around Jakarta and West Java.

"The target that is to be achieved in the construction of the Bekasi-Cawang-Kampung Melayu Toll Road Section 2B Packages 1 and 2 is to improve the road network connecting the DKI Jakarta-West Java area, especially with the integration of the Bekasi-Cawang-Kampung Melayu Toll Road with the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road," said the PUPR Ministry.

Referring to the schedule documents for the implementation of the work attached, the implementation of the toll road construction is estimated to take 20 months or for 1 year and 8 months.
