KAI Records More Than 1.8 Million Train Tickets For The Eid Period Sold Out

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that sales of medium and long-distance train tickets for the Eid al-Fitr 2024 period had sold more than 1.8 million or 53 percent of the total seats provided.

The period for transporting the Lebaran 2024 train was set by KAI, starting from D-10 or March 31 to D+10 or April 21, 2024.

KAI Vice President Public Relations Joni Martinus said that KAI provided 3,390,926 seats for the Eid 2024 period.

"Middle or long-distance train tickets sold 1,816,331 from seats provided 3,390,926. The occupancy is 53 percent," said Joni in an official statement, Monday, March 25.

Joni said the number of train tickets sold is still possible to increase considering ticket sales are still being made.

"The number of tickets sold will continue to increase because sales are still ongoing," he said.

Based on KAI data monitoring as of today, ticket sales are highest on April 6, 2024 or D-4, namely 122,285 tickets. Then on April 14, 2024 or D+3, namely 116,791 ticket tickets.
