JAKARTA - Head of the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) Erika Retnowati said guaranteeing the availability of adequate energy supply will provide a sense of security and comfort for the community, especially when celebrating Eid 2024 in her hometown.

"BPH Migas is committed to securing energy supply during the Ramadan period until Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri," Erika said in her statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Friday, March 22.

According to him, BPH Migas continues to prepare for Eid al-Fitr 1445 H which is expected to fall on April 9, 2024.

"Judging from the previous year, BPH Migas has always been appointed as the Coordinator of the Ramadan and Eid Task Force Command which covers the fuel, electricity, and geological disasters sectors," he explained while attending the Commission VII DPR RI Specific Visit Working Meeting in Surabaya, East Java, Wednesday, March 20.

Regarding fuel, according to Erika, the coverage of fuel days must also be properly maintained by the assignment business entity.

"We hope that during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr there will be no shortage of fuel and the community can still be served. To Pertamina, to mitigate areas prone to landslides and floods considering that it is still the rainy season," he said.

The government's hard work and commitment to securing energy supply received appreciation from the Deputy Chairman of Commission VII DPR RI Dony Maryadi Oekon.

He said that energy is a basic need for people who are very important to maintain and fulfill.

"This meeting is a form of capturing aspirations in the implementation of the supervisory function in the energy sector and we will discuss the development of government readiness for the reliability of fuel, gas and electricity supply ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1445 H," he said.

In addition, Dony also appealed to business entities to prioritize public comfort when accessing energy during homecoming.

"All parties must have a good strategy and anticipation for the community at home and the industrial group, so that there are no obstacles," he added.

During monitoring, Harya asked the distribution agency to ensure that subsidized fuel is distributed to users according to its designation.

"Make sure that those who buy and receive subsidized fuel and compensation are those who are entitled," said Didit, as he is called.

To the owner of the gas station, he also asked operators and supervisors to always be advised to monitor fuel distribution activities via CCTV.

Responding to this, the Sudjono Gas Station Supervisor revealed that his party had implemented strict rules for consumers who were not entitled to subsidized fuel.

"If there is a police number of vehicles different from the STNK, then we will not serve it. In addition, the delivery of SOPs according to the corridor of the rules, is conveyed to operators at each shift in shift," he said.
