JAKARTA - Indonesia has held a vote on the 2024 General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia officially appointed presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, as the winner of the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).

Meanwhile, the new government certainly has homework to improve various sectors, especially to realize economic growth in accordance with the 2025-2045 RPJPN, where to achieve Indonesia Gold 2045, starting in 2025, sustainable economic growth is needed at 6 percent to 7 percent.

Senior Analyst Indonesia Strategic and Economic Action Institution, Ronny P Sasmita said it would be very difficult for the Prabowo-Gibran pair to bring economic growth above 6 percent because Indonesia's economic growth in the last ten years has only been around an average of 5 percent.

"If Prabowo-Gibran only emphasizes the sustainability of Jokowi's programs, then what will be obtained is the same number, maybe even less," he explained to VOI, Thursday, March 21, 2024.

According to Ronny, this is very difficult to realize because getting a figure growth of up to 7 percent is very difficult if the Prabowo-Gibran pair does not have a new source of economic growth.

"So it is not easy to get a 6 percent growth rate, especially 7 percent, if Prabowo doesn't have something new that can become a new source of economic growth," he said.

Ronny emphasized that the Prabowo-Gibran pair should not talk much about numbers, but rather what policy plans will be carried out to raise economic growth to 6 percent.

According to him, Prabowo Gibran should not talk about numbers, but talk about what policy plans they will do that are different from the Jokowi era, to raise growth to 6 percent.

"If you just repeat Jokowi's policy, or just talk about free lunch, the financing is not clear, then 6 percent growth will still be difficult to obtain and will be wishful thinking," he concluded.
