The Ministry Of PUPR Leaks The Repair Of Jalan Parung Panjang Will Soon Be Carried Out

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Directorate General of Highways will repair Jalan Moch Toha-Parung Panjang-Bunar along 6 kilometers (km) in Parung Panjang District, Bogor Regency, West Java, within the next 1-2 months.

The 2.9 km Mohamad Toha-Parung Panjang road preservation work consists of 1.5 km Mohamad Toha section and 1.4 km Parung Panjang road section.

This work package will cost IDR 44.6 billion. Then, the preservation of Jalan Parung Panjang-Bunar for 3.1 km worth IDR 47.7 billion.

"We predict that repair work can start in the next 1-2 months if we have received a Budget Implementation List (DIPA) from the Ministry of Finance," said Head of the DKI Jakarta-Jabar National Road Implementation Center, Directorate General of Highways, Ministry of PUPR Sjofva Rosliansjah, quoted from the official website of the Ministry of PUPR, Monday, March 18.

He appealed to the cooperation and understanding from the people of Parung Panjang that during the work there would be traffic regulation that could potentially lead to queues in traffic.

Meanwhile, Acting Regent of Bogor Asmawa Tosepu said, the main reason for the damage to Jalan Parung Panjang was the traffic of mining trucks that exceeded capacity.

"The mining truck traffic, which has been going on since the 1970s, has caused road damage," he said.

In addition to the problem of damage, now Jalan Parung Panjang is often hit by traffic jams due to the activities of mining trucks and the community.

Bearing in mind, the development of the Parung Panjang area, which since the last few years has become the choice of developers to build residential areas.

This is because Parung Panjang is included in the Jakarta metropolitan area which has been equipped with mass transportation routes, such as commuter trains and will be connected to the Serpong Balaraja Section 1B and CBD Serpong-Legok Toll Roads.

Source Of Funds From IJD

The plan is that the repair of this road will be funded from the Regional Road Instruction (IJD), in which the central government funds and implements regional road repairs in districts or provinces.

The implementation of this package work will be in the form of reconstruction or rebuilding of damaged roads.
