Palm Oil FFB Prices In East Kalimantan Increase 2.36 Percent

JAKARTA - The price of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) for palm oil in East Kalimantan Province for the period 1-15 March 2024 has increased by 2.36 percent in each age group.

"The price of 10 year old FFB is currently set at a price of Rp2,466.96 per kilogram, while in the previous period, February 16-29 it was for Rp2,410.04 per kilogram," said Head of the Plantation Service, Ahmad Muzakkir, in Samarinda, quoted from Antara, Saturday, March 16.

According to Muzakkir, the increase in FFB prices for this period was due to an increase in the selling price of crude palm oil (CPO) or palm oil and kernel or palm oil from a data source company.

The weighted CPO is subject to IDR 11,612.54 while the price of the same weighted kernel (core) is equivalent to IDR 5,551.50 per kg with an index K of 87.62 percent.

Muzakkir explained that the price for the period is March 1-15, 2024, namely for FFB which is harvested from a 3-year-old tree at a price of IDR 2,175.47 per kg.

For 4-year-old palm fruit at a price of Rp2,324.20 per kg, the age of 5 years is Rp2,334.55 per kg. Then the age of 6 years is Rp2,358.79 per kg," he said

Next at the age of 7 years Rp2,372.42 per kg, aged 8 years Rp2,390.69 per kg and aged 9 years for Rp2,438.07 per kg.

According to him, the palm FFB price list is a price standard for farmers who have partnered with companies that own oil palm factories in East Kalimantan, especially plasma gardens.

It is hoped that the cooperation between farmer groups and oil palm oil factories (PMS) is expected that the price of the farmer's FFB is in accordance with the normal price and is no longer played by the tengkulak.

"We hope that through this collaboration the welfare of the oil palm farmer group should be realized," said Muzakir.
