JAKARTA - Repairs to 33 roads in East Java which are carried out through the Regional Road Presidential Instruction (IJD) have been inaugurated by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) today.

The construction and repair of non-national roads through the Regional Road Instruction was carried out on 33 roads and 2 bridges along 275.51 km in East Java using a budget of Rp925 billion.

Head of the East Java-Bali National Road Implementation Center (BBPJN Jatim-Bali) Directorate General of Highways Rakhman Taufik said the roads repaired in East Java Province were divided into two parts, namely south and north.

On the south, there are 20 roads along 209.46 km and 2 bridges along 184.74 m with a total budget of IDR 545.7 billion.

One of them is in Madiun, the 8.73 km Dungus-Botas City Road section.

"All sections in the south have been completed and currently in the completion of the two bridges. The two bridges are the Jongibiru Bridge in Kediri Regency with 61 percent progress and the Ngelembu Bridge in Trenggalek Regency with 59 progress," said Taufik in his written statement, Friday, March 8.

A fruit trader on Jalan Raya Dungus Madiun Regency named Nur Wahyono expressed his gratitude for the road repair assistance carried out by the Ministry of PUPR.
