Good News! Ministry Of Transportation Extends Services For Free Motorcycle Transport Programs To East Java

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation through the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) brings good news for prospective travelers on motorbikes. Where this year, the Ministry of Transportation will extend the service line of this year's Free Motorcycle Transport (MOTIS) program to the East Java region.

The Director of Traffic and Train Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation, Arif Anwar, revealed that this year MOTIS transportation will be held with three service routes.

"In the implementation of MOTIS in previous years, we received a lot of input to extend this MOTIS service, hopefully by extending it until East Java we can attract people's interest," said Arif in an official statement, Friday, March 1.

Arif said the three service routes on the 2024 MOTIS transportation, namely the North Cross (PP) served the Cilegon-Jakarta route Gudang-Cirebon Prujakan-Tegal-Pekalongan-Semarang Tawang.

Then, continued Arif, the Central Cross (PP) serves the Jakarta Warehouse-Cirebon Prujakan-Purwokerto-Kroya-Kutoarjo route.

"South Lantas (PP), Jakarta Gudang-Kiaracondong-Kroya-Gombong-Kebumen-Lempuyangan-Purwosari-Madiun," he explained.

MOTIS 2024 Implementation Schedule

Arif said that to attract people to take part in the MOTIS 2024 program, later the community will also be facilitated to buy train tickets at affordable prices.

Furthermore, Arif said that the 2024 MOTIS participants will have the opportunity to buy two passenger tickets at prices ranging from IDR 10,000 and a maximum of IDR 20,000 per passenger for each service crossing.

"People are able to register to take part in the MOTIS 2024 program from March 4 to April 18, 2024 through the mudikgratis.dephub.go.id page. So that they can participate in the 2024 MOTIS program," he said.

Arif explained that the 2024 MOTIS will be held on April 2-8, 2024 for the transportation of the Homecoming Flow. Meanwhile, the 2024 MOTIS service for Backflow transportation will be held from April 13 to 19, 2024.

"Each cross will have a contraflow flow so that people who will travel by the opposite current during the Homecoming / Backflow can still take advantage of MOTIS services," said Arif.

As for participating in the MOTIS 2024 program, the public needs to pay attention to the requirements that apply as follows:

- Have an ID card, applicable driver's license, Family Card, STNK;- The amount of the motorbike is less than 200 CC;- Register through mudikgratis.dephub.go.id which is continued by direct verification at the appointed station;- Register by submitting an active e-mail.
