OIKN Opens Voice About BCA Not Groundbreaking At IKN, Here's What He Said

JAKARTA - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk or BCA (BBCA) is not yet included in the list of banking sectors that will lay the first stone or groundbreaking for the fifth phase in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN).

Spokesperson for the Capital Archipelago (OIKN), Troy Pantouw, said that BBCA has not been included in the list of banks that will groundbreaking phase five because until now it is still in the discussion stage.

"For the temporary banking sector, which was mentioned earlier (BBCA) at the fifth groundbreaking, it is still in progress," Troy told reporters in Jakarta, Monday, February 26.

Meanwhile, when asked further about the latest developments regarding the BCA office development investment plan at IKN, Troy was reluctant to explain further.

Even so, Troy ensured that BCA's investment plan at IKN was still ongoing and was not delayed.

"Not delayed, they are in the process. If BCA itself tries to ask BCA (why hasn't it become a groundbreaking)," he said.

On the other hand, VOI immediately confirmed this to BCA.

BCA Executive Vice President Corporate Communication and Social Responsibility, Hera F. Haryn said, his party would still coordinate with all stakeholders related to the groundbreaking at IKN.

"Regarding the office development plan in IKN, in principle we will coordinate with all stakeholders, including banking authorities and regulators," he said.

Hera also has not been able to reveal the schedule for the BCA office groundbreaking at IKN.

"BCA is committed to always providing quality services to all beloved customers, both in the online and offline ecosystems," he said.

For your information, in the OIKN presentation document in December 2023, the groundbreaking phase 4 at IKN will initially be attended by 15 investors, including PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA).

However, until the end of February 2024, BBCA has not yet realized project development at IKN.

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) said that the fifth phase of groundbreaking in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) will be held on Friday and Saturday, February 29 - March 1, 2024.

"The fifth groundbreaking is on Thursday and Friday, February 29 and March 1. Only two days," said Head of the IKN IKN Task Force (Kasatgas) of the Ministry of PUPR Danis H Sumadilaga in Jakarta, Friday, February 26.

Based on its sector, Danis detailed that the groundbreaking would include a number of financial industries, such as PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) to PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI).

Even so, Danis did not specify how much investment value would be in the fifth phase of the groundbreaking.
