Kemenparekraf Calls Garuda Indonesia And Pokemon Collaboration An Innovative Step

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) stated that the collaboration between the national airline Garuda Indonesia and The Pokémon Company is an innovative step to develop the Indonesian tourism sector.

"This effort is an innovative step to develop the Indonesian tourism sector by attracting domestic and regional tourists, especially Pokemon fans to fly with Garuda Indonesia to various destinations in Indonesia," said Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno in Jakarta, Saturday. The thematic design operation of Pikachu Jet GA-1 is part of the "Pokémon Air Adventure" program which will be held on March 2-3, 2024 in Bali. The program is a collaboration between Garuda Indonesia and The Pokémon Company to provide a new and unique flight experience for Garuda Indonesia service users, especially Pokémon lovers. Furthermore, the plane flight with the Pikachu Jet GA-1 livery will also serve several domestic routes such as Batam, Medan, Palangkaraya, Malang, Balikpapan, Yogyakarta, Denpasar-Makassar vvv, Merauke-Jayapura vv, as well as the international Surabaya-Singapura vv route.
