Good News! SOEs Will Present A Free Homecoming Program, The Quota Is 80 Thousand People

JAKARTA - State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) will again hold a free homecoming program for Eid al-Fitr or Eid Al-Fitr 2024. The prepared quota will also be increased, reaching 80 thousand people.

The Special Staff (Staffsus) of the Minister of SOEs, Arya Sinulingga, said that the free Eid al-Fitr or Lebaran homecoming program will definitely be held again this year.

"There is free homecoming. We will add the quota, this year 80 thousand," he said when met in the Central Jakarta area, Wednesday, February 21.

Regarding this free homecoming, Arya has not explained further what the scheme will be and what SOEs will participate in this free homecoming program.

However, if you reflect on previous years, people must register to participate in the free homecoming program organized by SOEs.

In 2023, SOEs will prepare quotas for 65,603 travelers. There are options for both buses, trains, and ships. The joint homecoming program, which is attended by 24 SOEs, will depart from various departure points, both at terminals, stations and ports.

SOE Minister Erick Thohir said this homecoming program is one of the BUMN's efforts to realize a real role in helping the poor who want to go home to their hometowns.

"Through going home with SOEs, we have transferred thousands of vehicle users, especially motorbikes, to public transportation modes such as buses, trains, and ships that meet transportation safety standards so that people can feel safe and comfortable homecoming," he said in Jakarta, Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
