Regarding Budget Synchronization To The New President, Sri Mulyani: I Just Take Care Of The State Budget

JAKARTA - Ahead of the change of government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), it is necessary to discuss the synchronization of the budget. This is considered by the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati will not be avoided.

"Indeed, later it will be unavoidable that there must be discussions between the current government and those who will come," said Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani quoting Antara, Monday, February 19.

After attending an internal meeting with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Palace, Sri Mulyani admitted to providing a number of reports, such as payment of holiday allowances (THR) and 13th salary for ASN.

Then, Sri Mulyani also revealed that she had received directions from President Jokowi to navigate the budget, especially during the transition period of government so that it went well.

However, the Minister of Finance said that he did not participate in the discussion of budget synchronization with the next government.

"Later, Mr. President will do it. I'm not, I'll just take care of the state budget," said Sri Mulyani.

Previously, the Minister of Finance was known to have started discussing the initial design of the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) for 2025.

The discussion was held with the Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara and the ranks of echelon I leaders of the Ministry of Finance.

"Yesterday afternoon, I together with the Deputy Minister of Finance and the ranks of echelon I leaders discussed quite a long topic, namely the Macroeconomic Framework and the Principles of Fiscal Policy (KEM-PPKF) in 2025," Sri Mulyani said on the official Instagram account @smindrawati, as quoted in Jakarta, Tuesday (30/1).

In particular, the Minister of Finance requested that the design of the State Budget this time be further sharpened, so that the State Budget is able to answer various structural and fundamental issues. In addition, it also answers the hopes of the Indonesian people.
