JAKARTA - A total of 102 former Hotel Sultan workers reported to the 15th Block Service Post at Gelora Bung Karno on the first day of reopening the post, Monday (22/6). Data collection took place from 11.00 to 19.00 WIB at Parking Building A, opposite the GBK Arena.
The number shows a fairly good response from the workers after the Bung Karno Gelora Complex Management Center (PPKGBK) reopened the data collection service after the execution of Block 15 of the former Sultan Hotel. From the 102 reports received, as many as 59 people were recorded as daily workers, 18 people were temporary workers, and two people worked as freelance workers. In addition, there were two permanent employees and 21 contract employees who reported themselves.
The Head of the 15 GBK Block Transition Team, Hendry Arisandi, expressed his appreciation to the former workers of the Sultan Hotel who had come and were willing to provide data on the status of their employment relationship to the PPKGBK.
"We appreciate the former workers of the Sultan Hotel who have come and reported themselves. The response on the first day was quite good. The data that comes in will be the basis for us to obtain a more accurate picture of the number of workers and their employment status," said Hendry in Jakarta, Monday (22/6).
Hendry said the post will continue to receive reports from workers who have not been recorded. Each reporter is asked to bring identification and supporting documents for employment relations so that the recording and verification process can be carried out more completely.
PPKGBK's lawyer Kharis Sucipto explained that all data received will be examined and followed up in accordance with labor regulations. This is important because the workers who report have diverse employment relationships.
"The data that comes in is not entirely from permanent employees. There are contract employees, daily workers, temporary workers, and freelancers. Therefore, each report must be verified based on the status and documents of each employment relationship, then followed up according to the applicable labor provisions," said Kharis.
PPKGBK President Director Rakhmadi A. Kusumo ensured that PPKGBK would carry out the transition process for the management of the Sultan Hotel and its apartments in a professional and humane manner. According to him, the certainty of employee data is an important part so that every subsequent step can be carried out in an orderly and responsible manner.
"PPKGBK will act professionally and humanely in the process of transitioning the management of the Sultan Hotel and its apartments. We want to ensure that workers are properly registered, invited to communicate, and receive follow-up in accordance with applicable regulations," said Rakhmadi.
PPKGBK appeals to former workers of the Sultan Hotel who have not reported to immediately come to the Service Post Block 15 at Parking Building A, opposite the GBK Arena. The post will continue to be open every day to receive data collection and supporting documents from workers.
