Hundreds Of People Have Get Free Cleft Lip Surgery From Sido Muncul

JAKARTA - PT Industri Farmasi dan Jamu Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO) telah membantu ratusan penderita lipa sumbing di seluruh wilayah Indonesia. Hal ini dilakukan perseroan melalui operasi lipur sumbing gratis yang telah dilakukan sejak 2018 silam.

In a written statement from Sido Muncul quoted on Saturday, February 17, it was stated that free lipbing surgery was first carried out in Kupang. Assistance has been carried out in various parts of Indonesia. The total number of patients who have been operated to date is 574 patients.

"This assistance provided is part of Sido Muncul's efforts to contribute to health problems in Indonesia. We hope that this free cleft lip operation can inspire various parties to have awareness and participate in organizing the same activity, because the number of lip-capped sufferers in Indonesia is still high. The more it is held, hopefully more and more people can be cured," said Director of Sido Muncul Irwan Hidayat.

For information, in Indonesia there are at least 9,000 to 10,000 babies born with cleft lip and cleft cleft cleft in Indonesia. Cleft lip and ceiling itself is an anatomical disorder condition that can affect the psychological and social life of the sufferers.

Most recently, Sido Muncul again held a free lip-cleft operation for 50 patients in Surabaya, East Java. In collaboration with Smile Train Indonesia, lip-cleft and ceiling operations will be carried out on February 16, 2024 at the PHC Hospital in Surabaya, East Java.

As for the assistance worth IDR 325 million, the Director of PT Industri Jamu and Pharmacy Sido Muncul Tbk Irwan Hidayat will symbolically hand over to Deasy Larasati, as Country Manager and Program Director of Indonesia.

Director of Sido Muncul, Irwan Hidayat, said that he really understands how it feels to be a parent with children with cleft lip, therefore this assistance is intended to ease the burden on parents.

"We can feel that children who suffer from cleft lip have difficulty eating and are not confident in their appearance. Therefore, today we again provide free lipbing surgery assistance for 50 patients in the Surabaya area, East Java," said Irwan Hidayat.
