JAKARTA - PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk (PGN) plans to bring in additional natural gas supplies by utilizing stranded gas, especially at the Sengeti Field.
PGN Corporate Secretary Fajriyah Usman said that with its capabilities, including integrated gas infrastructure, PGN is taking a role in utilizing gas sources from fields that were previously considered less economical (stranded gas).
"PGN bridges the existing challenges by integrating the supply potential from the Sengeti field into the PGN natural gas distribution network," he said, quoted Tuesday, June 23.
Meanwhile, the potential gas supply from the Sengeti field is around 5 MMSCFD.
This additional supply is projected to be delivered as early as Q4 2028, to meet the energy needs of industrial customers and power plants.
