West Java Provincial Government Hopes Synergy With Badanas Can Secure Rice Availability

JAKARTA - The West Java Provincial Government hopes that the synergy with the National Food Agency (Bapanas) and other parties can strengthen their position to overcome every challenge to increase food security and availability, including rice.

"We believe that with the cooperation of all stakeholders, we can overcome complex challenges, even in recent times we are faced with how to overcome the availability of rice that needs to be handled with synergy and collaboration together," said Acting (Pj) West Java Secretary Taufiq Budi Santoso on the night of the awarding of Deputy for the Diversity of Consumption and Food Safety by Badanas in Bandung, quoted from Antara, Friday, February 16.

When confirmed, Taufiq said that the West Java Provincial Government has a commitment to collaborate with Badanas to maintain and improve food security and security together.

"The West Java Provincial Government in particular expresses full support and a strong commitment to continue collaborating with Bapanas and all related parties in maintaining and improving food security and food security," said Taufiq.

In addition, the West Java Provincial Government continues to support efforts to promote sustainable agriculture to reduce the inequality of access to food and strengthen a fair and sustainable food system.

Elsewhere, Secretary of the National Food Agency (Bapanas) Sarwo Edhy said that the awarding activities were given to provinces and cities/districts that excel in the field of food security related to standardization, food diversity, food security supervision, in order to improve food consumption and safety diversification programs.

"Also gradually we can complete the food vulnerability activity program, which currently still exists in 68 regencies and cities," said Sarwo Edhi.
