Minister Basuki Gives Unique Code To PUPR Employees Regarding The 2024 Presidential Election, Here's What He Says

JAKARTA - The Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) appealed to employees within the scope of their ministries, especially the younger generation of PUPR to exercise their voting rights in the 2024 presidential election (Pilpres).

"As a young generation, right, there are a lot of news in the media. The consideration is please do your own analysis which is best for Indonesia, especially for the sustainability of the Ministry of PUPR," he told his employees at the PUPR Ministry office, Jakarta, Friday, February 2.

Basuki emphasized that he would not direct his employees to take sides with certain candidate pairs (Paslon).

"I will not direct. So, if you ask me, who will you choose? I know everything, right, at the most," he said.

However, on that occasion Basuki was seen giving his employees a unique code.

"Ehem, stop it! There are no codes. The code is just i love you all," joked Basuki.

Before Basuki said the code I Love You All, because there was one PUPR employee who performed the song Ten 2 Five entitled I Will Fly.

The minister then asked what the song meant.

Instantly the employee also answered the meaning of the song as an expression of falling in love.

Suddenly, Basuki also interpreted this as 'I love you'.

Until now, Basuki has not been open about the direction of his choice in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

However, his name is still a hot topic of conversation among the media.

Because, recently Basuki is rumored to be withdrawing from the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet during the era of Joko Widodo (Jokowi) leadership. This news was raised by the Senior Economist Institute for Development of Economics and Finance (INDEF) Faisal Basri.

Faisal said the ministers in the cabinet did not agree with Jokowi's attitude, who allegedly sided with candidate pair number 2 Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
