Blockchain4Her Bitget Project Promotes Gender Diversity On Web3

JAKARTA - Bitget, a leading cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 companies, today launched a Blockchain4Her initiative aimed at promoting gender diversity and inclusiveness in the blockchain industry, with a commitment of US$10 million.

The announcement was made at the Web3 Hub Davos event organized by CV Labs, during the 2024 World Economic Forum, where Bitget showcased its commitment to boost women's entrepreneurship and recognized women's achievements in blockchain and Web3 spaces.

Despite industrial progress and increased inclusiveness, significant gender bias remains.

A recent study conducted by Bitget revealed a limited gender diversity in the blockchain funding market, which suggests that female-led blockchain startups only get 6 percent of total funding.

In an advanced and global-minded blockchain-based economy, gender-biased prevalence that significantly limits opportunities is an unacceptable issue. Initiatives like Blockchain4Her aim to address this gap.

Highlighting the challenges faced by startup companies led by women, Bitget aims to raise awareness and encourage collective efforts to create a more inclusive funding landscape.

Blockchain 4Her Main Initiative

Women's Entrepreneurs Incubation Program And Pitching Competition

As part of Blockchain4Her's initiative, Bitget will launch an incubation program specifically designed for female entrepreneurs.

These programs will provide comprehensive support, guidance, and resources, empowering women to navigate and succeed in the blockchain industry.

In addition, Blockchain4Her will host a pitching competition for startup companies founded by women, offering them a platform to showcase their innovations and gain potential investments.

Women in Blockchain Summit & Awards

Blockchain4Her will feature an exclusive experience called Women in Blockchain Summit & Awards, which serves as a platform to celebrate and recognize the extraordinary achievements of women in blockchain.

This meeting aims to create network opportunities for women professionals, encourage collaboration and build communities.

Through in-depth discussions and award events, Bitget is trying to inspire more women to actively participate and develop their careers in the blockchain industry.

Ambassador program

Bitget will also invite industry leaders to join as ambassadors for the Blockchain4Her program, which supports gender diversity in blockchain.

The ambassadors will advocate, engage, and encourage positive changes, as well as foster an inclusive environment.

Bitget's Blockchain4Her initiative builds on the success of the Blockchain4Youth program and Blockchain4Youth's Bitget Builders Program, also with an investment commitment of US$10 million over the next five years, having played an important role in inspiring the younger generation to embrace blockchain technology.
