SEZ Sanur Targeted By Investment Law Of IDR 20 Trillion

JAKARTA - The Sanur Health Special Economic Zone (SEZ) as the first international standard Health SEZ in Indonesia is targeted to attract incoming investment of IDR 20 trillion in 2045.

President Director of PT Hotel Indonesia Natour Christine Hutabarat said that the existence of the Sanur SEZ with all the latest class and technology health facilities is expected to be able to absorb patients who have previously been treated abroad, with an estimated total of 123,000 to 240,000 patients by 2030.

With fewer patients from Indonesia seeking treatment abroad, it is predicted to save foreign exchange with an estimated total of IDR 86 trillion and additional foreign exchange of IDR 19.6 trillion in 2022 until 2045.

"This area is expected to become the number one Medical & Wellness Tourism Destination pioneer in Southeast Asia, which is targeted to invite investment with an estimated value of up to IDR 15 to IDR 20 trillion," he said in an official statement, Tuesday, January 16.

If this target is achieved, the existence of the Sanur Health SEZ will provide a multiplier effect and have a positive impact on the national GDP, which will increase the estimate to Rp80.7 trillion.

Christine also said that the Sanur Health SEZ is targeted to absorb around 18,375 workers or increase with an estimated 2,069 percent compared to the absence of the Sanur SEZ.

"KEK Sanur is expected to be able to become the locomotive of national economic growth through tourism and health and build a sustainable future for future generations. We are optimistic that the Sanur SEZ development will be able to provide added value for Indonesia," he said.

For your information, SEZ Sanur is a strategic initiative to optimize the potential for the Grand Inna Bali Beach area of 41.6 Ha to become a World Class Wellness & Tourism Destination' as a World-class Integrated / International Integrated Health and New Tourism Service Center that has integrated facilities.

The facilities in question include accommodation facilities for 5-star hotels, Ethnomedicinal botanical Garden, International Standard Convention Center which can accommodate up to 5,000 people, Commercial Areas, MSME Centers, Restaurants, and various other facilities.

The Health Tourism Sector is a new potential that can provide solutions for the people of Indonesia to bring Medical & Wellness Tourism Indonesia to the international arena. The development of the Sanur SEZ is expected to be a diversification and accelerator for improving the Indonesian economy.

The selection of Bali as a location for the Health and Tourism SEZs in addition to providing opportunities for patients and visitors to get world-class health services, as well as being able to maximize the potential for beauty of Bali and its historical wealth and culture as a choice of tourist attractions.

Various facilities will be obtained at the Sanur SEZ, such as facilities and the ease of licensing for foreign health workers, customs fiscal facilities for medical equipment, types of services and technology provided, the use of certified drugs, to the ease of immigration services for patients and patients' families.
