Food Estate Key To Food Security, Prabowo: This Is The Only Way

Presidential Candidate (Capres) number 02, Prabowo Subianto said food estate is the key to food security and food independence. According to him, food estate is the only way to be taken.

According to Prabowo, food estate is a strategy to overcome food and agricultural polemics. In fact, he said, the food estate had been initiated since the 1970s by military figures who served as President Director of Pertamina in the New Order era, Ibnu Sutowo.

Prabowo said this food estate is a solution for food security because not a few traders adhere to neolyteism. Where are more concerned with foreign products.

He also said that food estate was not something he had just conveyed. According to Prabowo, this concept has been expressed for a long time.

"I've been talking about it for years, there's digital records, my record is all, from how many years we have to have a big food estate," he said.

On the other hand, Prabowo revealed the reason why young farmers in Indonesia were minimal, this was because he saw that the previous farmers were not prosperous. Meanwhile in Germany, young people are actually interested in the agricultural sector.

Therefore, Prabowo said that farmers' welfare must be considered in order to encourage the interest of young people to be interested in the agricultural sector.

"So partiality, management, fertilizer must go to farmers, do not fertilizer a lot of intermediaries, and do not let it be tightened, it is subsidized fertilizer for the people, seeds and so on," he said.
