Conduct Internal Reorganization, Fintech Company Flip Employee Layoffs

JAKARTA - The financial technology company (fintech) providing payment services or money transfer of PT Fliptech Lentera Inspiration Pertiwi (Flip) announced the termination of employment (PHK) for its employees.

In his official statement, the President Director and Co-Founder of Flip Rafi Putra Arriyan said that the tough decision was taken to maintain the company's business continuity in the midst of uncertain global conditions.

"The global economic condition is still uncertain. This has an impact on almost all lines of business, including Flip. In order to ensure the sustainability of Flip's business, management has a heavy heart to carry out internal reorganization," Rafi said in an official statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Thursday, January 11.

However, in his statement, Flip did not mention in detail the number of employees affected by the company's internal reorganization.

Furthermore, Rafi said, all affected parties will be given fair compensation and in accordance with the laws and regulations related to employment in force in Indonesia.

Affected employees can also still use health insurance, provide office laptops and take advantage of the company's network to facilitate access to find new jobs.

Meanwhile, Flip is a payment service provider, especially a technology-based money transfer in Indonesia. Flip has obtained a license from Bank Indonesia (BI).
