List Of 15 Threatened SOEs Will Be Disbanded

JAKARTA - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) continues to carry out transformations as part of the SOE cleaning program.

There are 15 state-owned companies whose financial conditions are not healthy and are in danger of being disbanded.

Corporate Secretary of PT Perusahaan Pengelola Asset (PPA) Pongky Afriandita confirmed that 15 state-owned companies were'sick' who were patients of PT PPA.

"That's right, there are 14 SOEs and 1 subsidiary of SOEs. So, a total of 15 companies," he said.

The 15 companies are PT Barata Indonesia (Persero); PT Boma Bisma Indra (Persero); PT Industri Kapal Indonesia (Persero); PT Dok & Peralangan Kodja Bahari (Persero) and PT Dok and Surabaya Shipships (Persero).

Then, PT Djakarta Lloyd (Persero); PT Varuna Tirta Prakasya (Persero); PT Persero Batam; PT Inti (Persero); Perum Percetakan Negara Republik Indonesia (PNRI).

Furthermore, PT Indah Karya (Persero); PT Amarta Karya (Persero); PT Semen Kupang (Persero); PT Primissima (Persero) and its subsidiary BUMN, PT PANN Pembiayaan Maritime.

Currently, said Pongky, the 15 companies are still in restructuring. Therefore, he admitted that he could not record which companies were potentially closed.

"There is nothing yet (to say which one could potentially not be saved," he explained.

Previously, Deputy Minister of BUMN Kartika Wirjoatmodjo said that cutting the number of state-owned companies would be carried out if SOEs could not improve the company's performance or carry out transformation.

Where the target of pruning is carried out until it remains below 40 companies.

"Earlier I said, if for example it cannot be repaired, it cannot be transformed, we will add to the closure," he said at Waskita Rajawali Tower, Jakarta, Monday, January 8.

Tiko, Kartika Wirjoatmodjo's nickname, said that the company's current work was also carried out on dozens of SOEs which are currently still being handled by PT Asset Management Company (PAA).

"We are still studying, there are a lot of them at PPA. In PPA there are still 14 more companies that we are studying," he said.
