Government Rice Reserve Distribution At 8.5 Million Recipients Reach 99 Percent

PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) confirmed that the distribution of government rice reserves (CBP) phase II has reached 99%, and is confirmed to be completed by the end of 2023.

"In the second stage of CBP, Pos Indonesia is given an allocation for 8,556,991 recipients," said Tonggo Marbun, Director of Courier and Logistics Business of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero), as reported by ANTARA on Sunday, December 31.

He explained that the government, through the National Food Agency (Bapanas) and Bulog, is collaborating with Pos Indonesia to distribute CBP. "With more than 4,800 post office locations throughout Indonesia, Pos Indonesia is able to deliver aid to 3T (outermost, frontier, underdeveloped) areas," added Tonggo.

Pos Indonesia has implemented a CBP distribution strategy that involves distribution at post offices, distribution in communities, and delivery directly to recipient homes (door to door), especially for sick residents, the elderly (elderly), and people with disabilities.

In addition, Pos Indonesia optimizes the use of multimodal land, sea, and air transportation, as well as involves local workers to accelerate distribution. Postal officers also cooperate with local governments and security forces at the provincial level to the RT level to ensure smooth and security during the distribution process.

Faizal Rochmad Djoemadi, as the main director of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero), explained that apart from the distribution strategy, Pos Indonesia uses the Pos Giro Cash (PGC) application and real time monitoring through the dashboard to accelerate the final process of handing over aid.

"PGC is equipped with a QR scan feature, face recognition, to geo-tagging," he said.

The government distributes CBP to food aid recipients (PBP) with each PBP entitled to receive 10 kilograms of rice assistance. In the distribution of CBP stage 1, the allocation reached 13,288,607 recipients and has reached 100% distribution.
