Holds Standby Apple, Hutama Karya Ready To Guard Nataru Holiday On The Trans Sumatra Toll Road

PT Hutama Karya gelar Apple Siaga untuk persiapan menyambut libur Nataru 2023/2024 (dok. PT Hutama Karya).

JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) has started a series of Christmas holidays 2023 & New Year 2024 (Nataru). This series was marked by the simbolistic inauguration of the Task Force (Satgas) for the 2023/2024 Nataru Homecoming Alert at the Kick-Off Apple Alert at the Rest Area KM 36 Line A Pekanbaru-Bangkinang Toll Road, Friday, December 15, 2023.

The location of the apple at the Rest Area KM 36 Pekanbaru-Bangkinang Toll Road was chosen because Hutama Karya wanted to introduce a functional rest area that had just been completed and would soon be operated for the Nataru holiday.

Led by the Highway Patrol Unit of Kampar Regency, the Alert Apple was attended by Operations Director III Hutama Karya, Koentjoro, as the supervisor of the ceremony.

Then, followed by the Secretary of the Transportation Service of Kampar Regency, Kholis Febriyasmi, Kasat Lalu Polres Kampar, AKP Viola Dwi Anggreni, Danramil 15/Kuala Kampar, Captain Inf Hendra Barus, Representatives of the Fire and Rescue Service, and BNPB Kampar Regency.

In addition, there is the Director of Operations of PT Hakaaston, Martin Nababan, Technical Director of PT Hutama Marga Waskita, Joko Purwanto, Head of the Task Force Supervisory Team (Satgas), Tjahjo Purnomo, Head of the Nataru Holidays Handling Team Task Force on Hutama Karya Toll Road 2023/2024, Dwi Aryono Bayuaji, along with all members of the task force.

Koentjoro said this Alert Apple was held as a sign that the Hutama Karya Toll Road Task Force Team was ready to welcome road users and was ready to provide the best service on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS).

"With the addition and function of new sections and the prediction of increasing vehicle flow during the Nataru holiday, we have prepared a number of strategies to prevent congestion at toll gates. Mainly by adding mobile reader and top-up hawkers at toll gates to speed up transactions," he said in a written statement, quoted on Saturday, December 16, 2023.

"We also ensure optimal service from officers in the field, road quality and facilities on toll roads, especially safe and comfortable rest areas to use," he added.

Hutama Karya also predicts an increase in Traffic Volume (VLL) which will pass at JTTS during the Nataru holiday, which is around 24 percent compared to normal VLL.

"With a fairly high increase in traffic, we hope that all officers can be trusted and totality in carrying out their duties and maintaining health so that the Nataru holiday service can run smoothly," said Koentjoro.

On the same occasion, Koentjoro also checked the entire standby fleet on the Pekanbaru-Bangkinang Toll Road to ensure that patrol vehicles, rescues, ambulances, cranes, and others have been tested.

The agenda also continued with the distribution of 100 free merchandise to toll road users containing limited edition hats, umbrellas, and electronic money cards (EU) with a special design for Nataru 2023/2024.

"We hope that with the various preparations that have been made, the flow of the Nataru holiday at JTTS can run smoothly. The performance of the personnel on duty continues to provide optimal service, as well as a sign of readiness for all teams to ensure that the managed toll roads are safe and ready to be passed by road users," he said.

In addition, said Koentjoro, Hutama Karya has also carried out maintenance to improve the quality of toll roads, especially in the Pematang Besar-Pematang Panggang-Kayu Agung and Pekanbaru-Dumai sections using rigid concrete methods and routine maintenance, such as screening, filling, and overlay (SFO) or unfolding and relaying.

"Hutama Karya ensures that the maintenance has been completed so that it does not have an impact on the traffic for the upcoming Nataru holiday," he added.

As for the Nataru holiday flow in 2023/2024, Hutama Karya will operate 589 kilometers (km) of the JTTS section, consisting of nine JTTS sections that have operated at a rate, namely the Terbanggi Besar-Kayu Agung Toll Road (189 km), Palembang-Indralaya Toll Road (21.93 km), Bengkulu-Taba Penanjung Toll Road (17.8 km), Pekanbaru-Dumai Toll Road (131 km), and Pekanbaru-Bangkinang Toll Road (31 km).

Then, there is the Binjai-Langsa Section 1 (Binjai-Stabat) (11 km) toll road, the Sigli-Banda Aceh (Seulimeum-Blang Bintang) (35.85 km) toll road, and two toll roads located on the island of Java, namely the JORR-S (14.25 km) Toll Road and Tanjung Priok Access (11.4 km).

Meanwhile, there are five segments that are still not tariff or free, namely the Indralaya-Prabumulih Toll Road (64.5 km), the Binjai-Langsa Toll Road (Stabat-Kuala Bingai) (8 km), the Indrapura-Five Puluh (15 km) Toll Road, the Sigli-Banda Aceh Toll Road (Blang Bintang Bintang Baitussalam) (12.7 km), and the Indrapura-Tebing Tinggi Toll Road (26.23 km).

Meanwhile, for toll roads managed by PT Hutama Marga Waskita (Hamawas), there will be 53 km of toll roads operated without tariffs, aka free, namely the Bangkinang-Tanjung Alai Toll Road (24.7 km), the Kuala Bingai-Tanjung Pura Toll Road (19 km), and Kuala Tanjung-Indrapura (9.47 km).
