GIS Follows Up On BPK Recommendations To Strengthen Accountability And Governance

JAKARTA - PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) affirms its commitment to carry out business activities in accordance with the principles of good corporate governance (GCG) and upholds the principles of law compliance, ethics, and integrity.

Regarding the findings of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) regarding indications of fraud in the 2018-2019 period that occurred in a business entity under a subsidiary of the GIS (Government of the Company), the Company stated that it had taken steps internally in the form of an investigative audit, as well as a legal process to follow up on the case. has been carried out since the end of 2019.

In addition to conducting audits, the Company has also examined the management of related entities and imposed sanctions in the form of dismissal from office. Until now, the legal process is still ongoing and GIS continues to provide assistance and supervision of the settlement of the case.

SIG's Corporate Secretary, Vita Mahreyni said, GIS encourages subsidiaries to ensure integrity and accountability in every business activity of all entities in the group.
