KAI Wants To Turn Feedermen's Train Into A Commuter Train

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia (Persero) or KAI plans to make the feeder train or Feeder Train for the Fast Train as a Commuter train.

Meanwhile, the Feeder Train is a feeder train that serves passengers on the HIGH Speed Train from Padalarang Station to Bandung Station.

President Director of KAi Didiek Hartantyo said, changing the Feeder train into a commuter train aims to make all passengers able to get seats. The reason is, along with the rising number of Feeder train passengers also increasing.

Didiek said that by making the Feeder Train a Commuter train, there would be no more issues regarding the absence of seating for passengers. Meanwhile, if passengers do not get a seat, they can have a room like a KRL to stand.

Feeder it will be a commuter. You don't have to sit down, my friends ask whether all passengers want to sit down? Because sitting is it turns out, oh next door or not," he said after a hearing with Commission VI of the DPR at the DPR Building, Jakarta, written Tuesday, December 5.

Furthermore, Didiek said, to realize the plan, KAI needed to prepare a number of things, including building KRL electrification on the Feeder train line.

Therefore, Didiek admitted that he could not confirm when the Feeder train plan to be used as a Commuter train could be implemented.

"We have to build electrification first, so that the headway can increase," he said.
