JAKARTA - PT Bank Mega Tbk (MEGA) is optimistic that it can increase the set of low-cost funds or Current Account Saving Account (CASA) and Net Profit until the end of the year.

Deputy President Director of Bank Mega, Diza Larentie said that his party is targeting the portion of low-cost funds to increase to 35 percent by 2024, from the current portion in the range of 33 percent - 34 percent of the total DPK of Bank Mega.

"The position of the casa for this year is at the level of 33-34 percent and is expected to continue to rise to the level of 35 percent," he explained after the launch of the "Meriah Bareng Mega" Program at the Mega Bank Tower, Friday, December 1.

In addition, Diza said that Bank Mega will also maintain bank liquidity by keeping the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) ratio low.

"We will continue to maintain low LDR in the range of 70 percent to 75 percent, so next year there will be no liquidity problems at Bank Mega because we have a policy to maintain LDR," he said.

Diza conveyed one way to increase the base of low-cost funds, namely by re-organizing the Meriah lottery program with Mega. "Last year we managed to attract 100 thousand new customers from this program, and this is a strategy that we will continue to get cheap funds until next year," he added.

Diza said that Bank Mega is optimistic that it can continue good performance growth until the end of 2023 and 2024, according to him, to be able to increase net profit, namely by increasing Return on Equity (ROE) and Fee Based Income (FBI) banks.

"How do we encourage bank products that can indeed contribute to profit growth, whether from credit cards or lending. We also want debit card transactions to increase and increase e-commerce transactions," he said.

On the other hand, Diza said that currently there is a slowdown in bank credit growth because people are holding back from expanding their business. But he will continue to look at several sectors that still have potential and companies that still want business expansion.
