Head of the Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP) Hendrar Prihadi said the value of motor vehicle transactions on the E-Catalog platform had only reached Rp195 billion.
This figure is based on data as of November 29, 2023.
"Especially for motorized vehicles, only around Rp. 195 billion is for electric-based vehicles or 2.91 percent of the total motor vehicle transactions," said Hendi, Hendrar Prihadi's nickname at the 2023 EV Expo Inabuyer event at the Smesco Building, Jakarta, Thursday, November 30.
Hendi said that the total transaction value on the E-Catalog platform in that period had reached Rp188.3 trillion.
That figure has tripled compared to last year's realization of IDR 83.9 trillion.
He said that there were the top five transactions, namely transactions of medical equipment and facilities worth Rp. 26.51 trillion, road preservation work of Rp. 16.05 trillion, electronic equipment of Rp. 12.9 trillion, drugs of Rp. 7.47 trillion, and motorized vehicles of Rp. 6.71 trillion.
Related to this, Hendi hopes that electric motor vehicle transactions can increase.
This is also to implement environmental sustainability aspects in the procurement of goods/services to all agencies in ministries/agencies as well as local governments.
Furthermore, Hendi said, in accordance with Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 16 of 2018 in conjunction with Presidential Decree Number 12 of 2021 concerning the Procurement of Government Goods/Services, three aspects of sustainability must be considered.
The three aspects are economic, social and environmental sustainability.
LKPP, continued Hendi, has responded to the issuance of Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Use of Battery-Based Electric Motor Vehicles as Government Service Vehicles.

Hendi assessed that his party had brought up a battery-based electric car and electric motor storefront on the E-Catalog platform.
"We also put the label 'environmental lecture' product on the E-Catalog platform," he said.
With the display and labeling, Hendi continued, every government agency shopping at E-Catalog will easily choose environmentally friendly products. Especially, in electric car products and battery-based electric motors.
"The system's alignment with environmental sustainability issues needs to be supported by the activeness of business actors to state that their products are environmentally friendly, so that they are easily identified," he added.
