HCML Targets To Increase Production Of 350 MMSCFD In 2026

SURABAYA - Husky CNOOC Madura Limited (HCML) plans to increase natural gas production by up to 350 million cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) standards by 2026 to 2028.

VP Operations HCML Perkasa Sinagabariang said the MDK and MBF fields are targeted to encourage additional production within two years, namely 2026-2028.

The MDK and MBF Fields are two fields that are in the development stage. While the other four have produced.

"Outside (target) 300 MMSCFD, the additional production is 24 MMSCFD each. So from the two fields to 48 MMSCFD," said Perkasa when met at the HCML Metering Station (GMS), Pasuruan, East Java, Monday, November 27.

Meanwhile, HCML BD Production Manager Suryo Birowo said four fields had produced. The total production of HCML from four fields reached 270 MMSCFD.

"For five years we only produced at 110 MMSCFD but in two years it could skyrocket up to 1.5 times. The peak of our production is 270 MMSCFD with gas sales at 250 MMSCFD," said Suryo.

For your information, the current production of HCML gas sales peak is 250 MMSCFD and is the largest in East Java and Central Java.

Of the three HCML fields, namely the BD, 2M (MDA-MBH) field, and MAC, KKKS HCML is the largest gas producer, with a production percentage of 30 percent of total gas production in the East Java region.

Meanwhile, Head of the SKK Migas Program and Communication Division, Hudi D Suryodipuro, said that with a number of production fields and several new fields to be developed, it is hoped that it will not only increase HCML production but also become more integrated for more massive production activities.

In the future, HCML is currently developing two new fields, namely the MDK Field which is scheduled for online in 2026, and the MBF Field in 2027.

"HCML will continue to strive to develop new gas fields to maximize the utilization of natural gas in Indonesia, this is also accompanied by the aim of supporting SKK Migas in achieving gas production of 12 BSCFD (billion cubic foot standards per day) by 2030," said Hudi.
