The Ministry Of PUPR Completes All Cinere-Jagorawi Toll Roads

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has completed all sections of the 14.64 Km Cinere-Jagorawi or Cijago Toll Road in order to improve connectivity in the Jabodetabek area.

"The road access is getting better to support the economy of the people in the surrounding area," said PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, November 18.

Basuki said, increasing accessibility and connectivity of toll road infrastructure networks to provide smoothness, safety, security, as well as travel convenience.

The Cijago toll road is part of the inner-city ring and outer-circular toll road network (Jakarta Outer Ring Road/JORR) 2 which is expected to further increase inter-regional connectivity and economic growth in the Jabodetabek area, as well as unravel the density of traffic flow, especially in Depok City.

The construction of the Cijago Toll Road was carried out by the Ministry of PUPR together with BUJT PT Translingkar Kita Jaya in stages in 3 sections, namely Section 1 (Jagorawi Raya Bogor) along 3.70 km (including the Cimanggis Junction) has been operating since 2012, Section 2 (Raya Bogor-Kukusan) along 5.50 km has been operating since November 2019.

Then Section 3 which is divided into 2, namely 3A (Kerakusan Junction Krukut) along 3.50 km has been operational at the end of 2022 and Section 3B (Junction Krukut-Limo) along 2.19 km which has passed the Functional Feasibility Test and received an Operational Feasibility Certificate from the Director General of Highways.

In addition, Section 3B has also received a decree on the determination of operations from the Minister of PUPR based on the Decree of the Minister of PUPR Number 1402/KPTS/M/2023 concerning the Determination of the Operation of the Cinere-Jagorawi Toll Road Section 3 B (Junction Krukut-Cinere) dated October 2, 2023.

With the completion of the Cijago Section 3 B toll road construction, all Cinere-Jagorawi toll roads have been connected, so that they can complete the road network structure in the Jabodetabek area, which already has an inner-city ring and outer ring (JORR-I) toll road network that is operational and JORR-2 is connected to several toll roads.

The Cijago Toll Road connects the intersecting Jakarta-Bogor-Ciawi (Jagorawi) Toll Road on the Cimanggis Junction and the Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road to the East side.

Furthermore, in the west, it is connected to the Cinere-Jagorawi Toll Road to Blok M or Sawangan (DepokAntasari Toll Road which intersects on the Krukut Junction) and to Soekarno Hatta Airport via the Cinere-Serpong Toll Road, Serpong-Kunciran Toll Road, and Kunciran-Soekarno Hatta Airport Toll Road.

In addition to cutting the faster driving travel time, the presence of the Cijago Toll Road is also a solution to reduce traffic density, especially from Depok City to Soekarno Hatta Airport without having to go through the Jakarta Inner City Toll Road or heading to Bogor because it is directly connected to the Jagorawi Toll Road.
