Appointed As Prabowo-Gibran Teams, Arief Rosyid Withdraws From BSI Commissioner

JAKARTA - Commissioner of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk Arief Rosyid announced his resignation after joining as Commander of Young Voters in the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN).

announcing the campaign team's composition at a press conference at the Grand Hotel Kemang, South Jakarta.

On that occasion, the Secretary of TKN Nusron Wahid read out the name Muhammad Arief Rosyid Hasan who carried out the mandate as.

"I have asked permission from the President Commissioner of BSI, Mr. Muliaman Haddad and the Minister of SOEs Mr. Erick Thohir. In the communication that was established, I conveyed this resignation as my commitment to maintain the dignity of BSI as one of the banking institutions belonging to BUMN that the Indonesian nation and Muslims rely on," said Arief in an official statement quoted on Tuesday, November 7.

Arief also thanked the board of commissioners and directors of BSI for the synergy that has been established for almost three years.

"I am proud to be able to contribute through a crucial institution for sharia economic development in Indonesia. The institutions appointed by SOE Minister Erick Thohir to bring our nation into account at the global level in the Islamic finance sector. Thank you to the board of commissioners, directors, and the entire BSI extended family," he concluded.

ARH was previously also listed as Deputy Director of TKN Millennial Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin in the 2019 Presidential Election and was active as an activist figure, from the millennial movement in various segments, mosques/mesantren, to Islamic economics and finance.

The voice of youth is the majority of the votes in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. The most important thing is how we young people are really present as representatives of our generation so that youth is not only an object let alone a commodity. On the other hand, youth must sit together as subjects of public policy to expand their benefits to other youth," concluded Arief Rosyid.
