JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) will re-auction the Gilimanuk- Mengwi Toll Road.

The toll road project is included in the ranks of the National Strategic Project (PSN).

Director General of Infrastructure Financing of the Ministry of PUPR Herry Trisaputra explained that his party was calculating the estimated price (HP) at the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) of the project before it was re-auctioned.

"Yesterday there was initial approval, we will still complete it to get final approval, then auction," said Director General of Infrastructure Financing of the Ministry of PUPR Herry Trisaputra Zuna when met at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Wednesday, November 1.

Herry did not deny that the toll road project would be delayed from its initial target, namely in the first semester of 2024.

Even so, he ensured, the construction of the toll road would continue and the completion would be accelerated.

"Still (PSN), indeed (development) is a bit delayed. But, right, the important thing is to be consistent," he said.

Previously reported, PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono accelerated the implementation of tenders for Gilimanuk- Mengwi toll project investors, Bali, in November 2023.

"By the end of this month or next month (November) we can tender," said PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono in Jimbaran, Badung Regency, Bali, Thursday, October 12.

The acceleration of the tender for capital owners was carried out so that the toll road project connecting Jembrana, Tabanan, and Badung Regencies began to be worked on again in 2024.

Minister Basuki said, after the tender for investors or toll road business entities (BUJT) was successful, investors would look for contractors to work on the toll road.

Basuki ensured that the toll road was sought to continue because he projected that many investors would participate in the re-dwarf.

"This continues (on the way) it will definitely be possible. From the market sounding, there will be many who participate in the tender," he said.
