Money Turnover In MotoGP 2023 Confirmed To Reach IDR 4.5 Trillion

JAKARTA - Director of Marketing and Consumer Experience InJourney, Maya Watono ensures that the circulation of money at the 2023 MotoGP event will exceed IDR 4.5 trillion at the national level.

"The national level is certain that we will reach above Rp. 4.5 trillion. More than ago. But indeed the exact figure has not come out. But it will definitely reach above Rp. 4.5 trillion," he said at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 31.

Meanwhile, at the local level, Maya said the circulation of money had reached Rp914 billion.

This figure has increased by IDR 307.3 billion from last year which was recorded at IDR 606.7 billion.

Furthermore, Maya said, the increase in the circulation of money in the Lombok area, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) was due to increased accommodation to other businesses.

"The accommodation has increased, the hotel, then the fnb has also increased, for food and so on it has added. The increase is from there," he said.

Previously, PT Aviasi Wisata Indonesia (Persero) or InJourney targeted that the circulation of money during the 2023 MotoGP event would reach more than IDR 4.5 trillion. This circulation of money will be increased, especially for the Lombok region, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

As is known, this world-class motorcycle racing event will be held on October 13-15, 2023 at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Director of Marketing and Consumer Experience InJourney, Maya Watono is optimistic that the circulation of money during this year's MotoGP event will increase compared to last year. Especially for the Lombok area.

Furthermore, Maya explained, the financial turnover was supported by a number of economic activities in Lombok during the MotoGP. Such as airplane flights, accommodation, to MSMEs or other businesses.

"If the support will not be much different from the flights, accommodation, employment, business, MSMEs involved. Those parameters and indirect will not change, but there are several measurement parameters that we add," Maya said when met in the Sarinah area, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, October 3.

Maya explained that the calculation of the multiplier effect or multiplier effect this year is also seen from the trend of local economic activity during this event.

"We will measure this from last MotoGP, we have to look at the trend from year to year, of course we hope it improves, if we look at the growth of sportsurism at 8 percent, yes we also want around 8-10 percent," he said.
