Minister Of Manpower Ida Reminds Prospective Migrant Workers: Follow The Procedures Correctly

JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah conveyed a message to the people of the villagers who wish to work abroad to follow the procedures set by the government correctly.

Furthermore, Ida said, by following the correct procedure, eating prospective migrant workers will later be able to obtain protection before, during and after optimal work.

"Make sure, if you want to work abroad before leaving the village or district, you have been registered at the Village Office and the Cilacap Regency Manpower Office. Follow the procedure properly," said Ida Fauziyah in an official statement, Monday, October 30.

Not only that, Ida also advised villagers who wish to work abroad to ensure that they are placed by the Indonesian Migrant Workers Placement Company (P3MI) registered with the government, in this case, the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker).

By following the placement process correctly, it is hoped that the desire of the father and mother to improve the family's standard of living can be fulfilled. All rights as workers are fulfilled, and return from working to Indonesia in health and safety and success," he said.

According to him, the protection of Indonesian migrant workers is a joint work between the central government, regional governments, and the village government.

Ida added that the role of village government officials, the community, and Indonesian migrant workers is very important in providing information about the procedures for working abroad properly to job seekers abroad.

"This is because job seekers will be easier to interact with the village environment where they come from," he said.

On that occasion, Ida said, Cilacap is the second largest district in Indonesia to send migrant workers out of the placement country.

Therefore, he asked people who want to work abroad to get convenience when taking care of the One-Stop Integrated Service (LTSA) in Desmirgative. Including ensuring whether there are job vacancies abroad.

Ida said that desmirgative is one way for people with four programs, namely migration information, productive economy involving family, community parenting and cooperatives.

"In principle, if you want to leave the country, you should not be fooled by brokers who only want to take advantage of it, without being able to account for its protection," he said.
