JAKARTA - Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs (Menkop UKM) Teten Masduki opened his voice about the news circulating that TikTok Shop will reopen on November 10, 2023.
"The signal really wants to open again, because the total income can be around Rp. 8.4 trillion per month. But earlier I said he (TikTok) had to follow our rules," Minister Teten told reporters at the Kemenkop UKM Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, October 25.
Teten does not deny that TikTok really wants to reopen its e-commerce business in Indonesia.
Related to this, he admitted that he had received an assignment from President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to meet TikTok Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shou Zi Chew.
He admitted that he was the only one assigned by President Jokowi to meet Shou Zi Chew.

"I'll just (assigned). Of course, we will contact first, because we ask for the CEO (meet). We don't know (what was discussed," said Teten.
