The realization of the export value of Batang Regency, Central Java, until as of August 2023 reached 79.02 million US dollars, an increase of about 12.8 percent compared to the same month the previous year of 70.62 million US dollars.

Head of the Batang Subiyanto Regency Industry, Trade, Cooperatives and SME Office said that the realization of export value in 2023 has indeed increased in line with the improving global market conditions.

"Hopefully, the realization of the export value of this region can continue to increase so that economic growth will also improve," he said, quoted from ANTARA, Monday, October 24.

He said several products from Batang that were exported were products from plywood, finished clothes, children's toys, coffee, and melinjo emping.

Export destinations include the United States, Japan, Australia, England, Belgium, China, Bahrain, Germany, Canada, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

"Currently exports are still smooth. However, export activities are still through the association so that indirect products can be exported from the company concerned. The mainstay products exported are products made of wood, clothing, and snacks such as emping," he said.

Subiyanto said that currently 11 companies have obtained operational permits for industrial activities as part of the requirements for export activities.

The eleven companies include PT Sengon Indah Mas, PT Bahana Bumi Pala Persada, PT Cipta Alam Prima, PT Albaisa Batang Sejahtera, PT Sahabat Utama Industri, PT Rima Profil, PT Biwel Mitra Niaga, Helmi Saleh Dans'un, PT Adn Wood Batang, PT Batang Alum Industri, PT Wan Ho Indonesia.

According to him, the district government continues to encourage micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to integrate digital technology as a means of marketing the products they produce.

Micro, small and medium enterprises, he said, must begin to adapt so that their efforts can survive and even develop and be able to penetrate foreign markets.

"The distribution of products and procurement of goods today is already electronic-based. So everything is all digital," he said.
