Fast Train Serves 23,000 Passengers on Weekends, Occupancy Reaches 90 Percent

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) recorded that it served 23,439 passengers last weekend, with average occupancy reaching 90 percent of the total seats provided.

KCIC General Manager Corporate Secretary, Eva Chairunisa detailed the number of passengers consisting of 11,330 passengers on 21 October 2023 with an occupancy of 86 percent and 12,109 passengers on 22 October 2023 with an occupancy of 92 percent.

"The large number of passengers is based on several factors, such as the increase in people wanting to go on holiday, return to their home areas, work or for other purposes at the weekend," said Eva in Jakarta, Monday, October 23.

Furthermore, Eva said, passenger travel destinations last weekend were dominated by tourists and business people.

"We are happy because Whoosh can be a mode of transportation that can accommodate people's travel needs well. "This certainly adds to our enthusiasm to continue developing the quality of service so that in the future people will always get the best from us," she said.

Eva reminded that several things passengers need to know include arriving early to the station because the gate closes 5 minutes before the scheduled departure.

Then, continued Eva, seat according to the train number and seat number, prepare a physical or QR ticket when boarding, and finally always maintain cleanliness while traveling and at the station.

“We are optimistic that Whoosh can have many positive impacts on society. "Not only for passengers who can now carry out more effective mobility, but also for the areas they visit," concluded Eva.
