Avtur Consumption At Ngurah Rai Airport Second Highest In Indonesia

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) through its subsidiary Patra Niaga noted that aviation consumption at the Ngurah Rai Aircraft Filling Depot (DPPU), Bali, is the second largest in Indonesia due to high flight traffic at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.

"The largest amount of aviation fuel consumption in Indonesia is in the Ngurah Rai DPPU, the second largest after Soekarno Hatta and the third in Surabaya," said Communication Manager and CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga for the East Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara Region, Sunday Rahedi, while reviewing the CSR Karang Reef program in Banyuwangi, East Java, quoted from Antara, Friday, September 15.

Based on data from Pertamina Patra Niaga Region of East Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara, the realization of daily consumption of avtur at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, as of August 2023 reached an average of 1,838 kiloliters.

During the first semester of 2023, the realization of avtur in Bali reached 231,754 kiloliters.

This number increased compared to the consumption of the same period in 2022 which reached 74,240 kiloliters due to the reopening of the door to human mobility across countries and tourism due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Based on data from PT Angkasa Pura I I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, the number of aircraft movements in August 2023 reached 12,150 flights, an increase of 43 percent compared to the same period in 2022 which reached 8,513 flights.

General Manager of Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport Handy Heryudhitiawan recorded that during the August 2023 period, there were two million passengers, both domestically and internationally, or an average of 65 thousand passengers arriving on the Island of the Gods by air.

Of that number, 1.13 million people of whom are passengers on international routes or 56 percent.

In total, during the January-August 2023 period, his party recorded 13.9 million domestic and international passengers who made Bali Airport the busiest airport under Angkasa Pura 1.

His party projects that the total number of passengers in 2023 will reach 20.3 million passengers because it is supported by the recovery of the Bali tourism sector.

Until the latest data in July 2023, Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport has served 19 domestic routes from 13 airlines and 30 international routes from 34 national and global airlines.
