These Three SOEs Get IDR 28.1 Trillion PMN Disbursement Early Next Year

Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani asked the DPR for approval regarding the proposal for a faster disbursement of state capital participation (PMN) of IDR 28.1 trillion to three SOEs at the beginning of next year. He stated this in a working meeting with Commission XI of the DPR today.

"In the Working Committee (Panja) meeting, the basic assumption of the 2024 State Budget Draft dated September 5, 2023, agreed on PMN for three SOEs to be disbursed in the beginning of the first quarter of 2024," he said at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta on Tuesday, September 12.

According to the Minister of Finance, this initiative was taken to maintain the business continuity of the three state-owned companies while ensuring the mandatory assignment given by the government.

"So we ask that discussions can be carried out with Commission XI, because the timing of PMN also determines the health of these SOEs," he said.

The Minister of Finance explained that the first BUMN was PT Hutama Karya with PMN amounting to Rp18, trillion. He said, the construction sector entity will complete the Phase I Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) and invest in the Bogor-Ciawi Sukabumi toll road project and the Kayu Agung-Pelambang-Betung toll road.

The second is PT Bahana Pembinaan Usaha Indonesia (BPUI) amounting to Rp3.5 trillion to strengthen IFG Life capital capacity in completing the transfer of policies resulting from restructuring from PT Asuransi Jiwasraya," he said.

The third is PT Wijaya Karya with a PMN value of IDR 6 trillion. The Minister of Finance said the budget would be optimized in strengthening the company's capital structure in funding the National Strategic Project (PSN) which is currently being worked on.

"So even though we do PMN, there are still earmarks, they are not included in the balance sheet. Especially if the SOEs are still in the restructuring process, so it can be ascertained that they are not lost or diluted with various financial problems," he concluded.
