JAKARTA - The Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi) appreciates Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) who produced a cooperation project commitment of more than Rp500 trillion in holding the 43rd ASEAN Summit (KTT).
Chairman of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi) Akbar Himawan Buchari assessed that Indonesia as the Chair of ASEAN 2023 was successful. The ASEAN Summit received 93 cooperation projects worth 38.2 billion US dollars or Rp568 trillion from the implementation of the ASEAN Indo Pacific Forum (AIPF).
"Pak Jokowi has worked hard this year, precisely when Indonesia became Chair of ASEAN 2023. In my opinion, the value of this collaboration is quite fantastic. Hopefully this collaboration will be realized well, so that the people will get the results," Akbar said, quoting Antara, Saturday, January 9.
Akbar asked that the success of organizing the 43rd Summit must be truly concrete, felt by the Indonesian people, especially micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). That way, national economic growth will continue to grow positively.
"From the potential project worth IDR 568 trillion, MSME players must get the cake. This is because the MSME sector has always been the backbone of the nation's economy. This collaboration is also expected so that our MSME players can advance to class," said Akbar.
Akbar also praised Jokowi for consistently voicing the interests of the Indo-Pacific state, and other developing countries, including Indonesia.
AIPF's cooperation was initiated so that the private and public sectors in the ASEAN Indo-Pacific region could work together to produce investment projects in the Indo-Pacific region, such as the development of new and renewable energy, hydrogen, ammonia, alumina refineries, battery supply chains, as well as toll road and port infrastructure.

Furthermore, Jokowi's attitude is considered brave in voicing stability and peace. According to him, these two things are the keys to prosperity.
Akbar said another success from organizing the 43rd ASEAN Summit was the arrival of leaders of partner countries such as the United States and China who praised Indonesia's Chairmanship.
"This also needs to be underlined. United States Vice President Kamala Harris and Chinese Prime Minister (PM) Li Qiang came directly and praised Jokowi. Apart from countries like Japan, Canada, and Korea also participated in yesterday's summit," said Akbar.
